Unit Organizations of the Waffen-SS
One of the more difficult tasks when dealing with any military organization is properly presenting the organizational history. In this particular case, it is best to work backwards, starting with the units as they were know in 1945 - the end of World War II.
When you view any of the other files located on this site, you will come across unit names as they appeared at that time. However, they will link back here, to the 1945 nomenclature. This is done to try and remove some confusion.
